He arrived on time, reviewed the problem, presented a quote, then proceeded with the work (stubbing out the hot and cold water lines so I could eliminate a leaky valve and turn water back on to the house). Edgar did an excellent job and added two ball valves that will be useful in the future. Will use them again soon to replace the valve after I find and buy one.

When Yellow Dot came out to fix one of the gates on our AC units, we thought it would be a good idea to sign up for the yearly inspection service they have. It is worth the expense. The plan itself is reasonably priced. It comes with AC, electrical, and plumbing inspections at no cost for the visit and a percentage off any work you decide to do as a result of the inspection. I just completed the plumbing inspection today with David Ray. He showed up on time and was considerate enough to throw on booties when entering the home. He walked me through every part of the inspection and let me tag along. Dave found 3 issues that I would have not noticed and walked me through causes and potential things to look for in the future. To solidify the great experience I had and show how above and beyond Dave went, he helped debug two issues in the house. We had been smelling some weird smells coming from the drains in our upstairs bathrooms. Instead of brushing it off, Dave completed the inspection items, then circled back and spent a solid 10 minutes trying to reproduce the issue. Which he did. He did not find the culprit but gave me a suggestion on how to mitigate it (use the tub once a month to ensure the trap does not dry up). We have also been hearing banging noises from our crawl space when the water is turned on. During the inspection of the crawl space, Dave did not initially hear anything and gave me a list of potential causes. When he completed the inspection, he circled back and was able to hear the banging and found the issue, a loose and maybe faulty expansion tank.
